My name is Júlia Káčerová, and I am a Slovak visual artist (*2000) working primarily with sculpture, objects, and installations.

My creative process does not usually begin with a predefined theme. Instead, it develops as an intuitive search for both form and meaning, in which the material itself plays an active role in shaping the work. The process of making thus becomes a personal dialogue with the possibilities of matter and space. The outcome of my work remains open to departures from the initial intention, to coincidence, and to the inherent qualities of the material.

My artistic practice explores the tension between solidity and fragility, between stability and the processes of gradual transformation. Each work carries within it a story and a lived experience. The materiality and formal language of my work are rooted in natural sources, as I often explore the relationship between natural structures and human intervention in the landscape. I work at the intersection of geometric and organic forms that evoke nests, embryonic forms, or structural shapes—symbols of birth, transformation, and protection. For me, these forms represent not only biological or natural structures, but also a way of thinking about the relationships between different modes of existence and the fragile balance between human activity and broader ecological systems.

My recent work has shifted towards themes of stability, burnout, and mental fragility. It is not only an experimental material investigation, but also a record of lived personal and global struggles and forms of pain, transformed into visual form.

I am interested in understanding artistic practice not only as the creation of objects, but as a process embedded within a network of material, ecological, and philosophical relationships.
