What kinds of touch do we require, prefer, or are willing to endure? The object balances between a tender embrace and a repellent grasp of bare tentacles.
The inspiration for this haptic sculpture comes from traditional snail therapy. This slimy, rehabilitative-relaxation process can be perceived either as an unwanted, unpleasant, almost violating contact that “contaminates” us, or as a gentle, soft, and healing touch.
